Description: This feature class describes the locations of buildings and structures located on property owned, managed, or leased by the District. Buildings enhance the experience of the public and District staff when visiting forest preserves by providing convenience (e.g. meeting space) or operational support (e.g. storage). Some buildings are also maintained for their historic character and significance as part of the Will County Historic Preservation Program. This feature class provides a cartographic representation of those buildings and structures that supports the ability of District staff to plan for their installation, maintenance, and removal.
